The decoker is the brass colored fitting that is screwed into the side of the burn pot. This device has a scrubbing rod that is used to remove coke or scale that builds inside the fuel line. A small leak near this scrubbing rod indicates that the gasket needs to be replaced. Lack of fuel flow through the decoker indicates that the decoker could be full of scale and needs to be rebuilt.
